A Hard Goodbye

Fiorella is having a wonderful time getting to know her granddaughter, who is the most charming child on the face of the earth. B has included Grammy in all of her games, even sharing her toys with her and making sure she was covered with a sheet when THE GIANT approached.

Son is driving into town later today to pick up a heart med for yours truly so Fio is hitching a ride with him to abate her cabin fever and, if possible, score more milk and.....maybe a steak or two.

The sun is out and the snow has melted, but Fiorella's life is still in disarray. She needs to remove all her belongings from her former home, pick up her mail, and arrange for storage of the mountain of boxes in the house and garage. Let's hope the bubble wrap and shredded newspaper did its job.

Don't get her wrong--Fio will be forever grateful to son L's in-laws for taking her in, but she didn't understand that she'd have to stay in place for a month before the purchase of the new house could be settled.

So many of her lovely rock piles will be left behind, and Fiorella will miss them, as well as her comforting trees. She hopes the new owner will recognize the species as the elements they are.
