Aside from the family get-together, the nicest part of Easter was that Fiorella, who's been uncomfortable in the midst of company ever since last year's snowstorm, was able to respond to everyone on the scene-- even though she couldn't comb her hair and her left arm was wrapped up like a volley ball. Yes, your girl's kite is flying higher and higher!
Aha! Fio finally located the edge of the razor-sharp ribbon that had been irritating the side of her swaddled left hand and was able to relocate it. Not that the ribbon will be around much longer anyway--the boxing-glove-like wrapping comes off tomorrow. Next on your girl's list is a new knee joint, but that's a month or so down the road--and probably will be a lot more irritating because she'll have to use a crutch for a while.
Easter was great, but now Fiorella is feeling a little sicky. Too much chocolate?
Tomorrow is Fio's big day--when she will remove the massive glove wound around her left hand, a major event in her journey toward being able to play the piano again. There are a couple more hurdles she'll have to leap, of course, but the surgery was the major one. She should add that the carpal tunnel did more than put a damper on her musical ambitions. Fire in the fingers affects one's whole life.😞
Oops--Fiorella's Chariot driver for tomorrow cancelled because of your girl's cold. Fio doesn't blame her. Coughing from a cold probably sounds just like coughing from Covid....and vice versa, come to think of it.
