RECOVERING, ART, AKRON, CUL-DE-SAC, SELF SUFFICIENCY, GERMAN

Fiorella has worked, worked, worked most of the day on her big family portrait, and it may be that she'll work even more this evening--or even into the night. She's proud of her work, which encourages her to go to an art store and pick up more virgin canvases. And to think: all this started with a submission to the Akron Beacon Journal's Children's Corner so many years ago. (Wonder if it still exists?)

At last, the hot summer has begun to break and your girl can take a walk down the cul-de-sac to mail some letters and she didn't even sweat 😊

Fio still haven't found any TV movies or shows to lull herself asleep at bedtime. Would like to know who/what you use.....

In case you haven't figured it out, Fio's art is her first step to regaining her self sufficiency. What will come next? Probably more writing--if she can come up with a good theme. (And along the way, she wants to start singing again, and maybe take a course in music theory so she can plunge into composing again.

German:

Here's a good one: Wie ist Ihr Name?

                              What is your name?

The "a" is pronounced like the "o" of "odd" and the "e" is sounded (like  like the "a" of "lot."

THe W of Wie is pronounced like a "V"
