ART, ART, ART, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, FINANCES, FINANCES, FINANCES, DEUTSCH, DEUTSCH, DEUTSCH (SORTA)

Fio is still laboring over attaching all the family to the horrendous 4x5 board, a labor that has been using up so much of her time, as you well know. She and her husband were attached many years ago, and now that your Fiorella has finally finished up on Son L, she's aiming her brushes at Son K in absentia, which explains why she has some old photos and lots of brushes and rags situated around her.

Painting is interesting in itself, but right now, Fio is taking advantage of the fact that anything can be painted over and over again to better the image being sought --like when Fiorella painted Son K's face in red paint, then moved the color down to make him more like he looked when he was younger.

Actually, your girl's day was a little scary because had received something yesterday saying there was a problem with my finances. Fio panicked, of course, then panicked, then decided to be cool.  You'll hear Fio from here to Barnio if she has to go through this again!

"How did your art start?" people sometimes ask your girl. Fio would like to give them an easy answer, but there isn't. Your girl was born in the war years, when even pencils were in short demand, although her mother, a former high school teacher, was rather clever about making things out of nothing. And then there was her wonderful kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Rubright, who was even more clever. But maybe the most important was the encouragement she got......

German: Here is a German word that everyone of a certain age will remember

WUNDERBAR, which means just how you think it does--wonderful!

But you pronounce the W like a V and the U almost like "oo of "loon"
