Welcome to July, Fiorella's birthday month--not that she's getting any older, of course!
Actually, your girl is sort of in the doldrums. It's too hot outside for her to take her usual trip around the cul-de-sac, she's used up all her age-related home visits from bright-eyed nurses, and is board, board, board. She doesn't even have a good paperback to read....if such things still exist.
Saturday, the day the local paper takes a vacation, drives Fio crazy. WHY? Surely there are as many crimes, marriages, car accidents, etc., as on any other day of the week.....
Fiorella looks so cute in her beige shorts, purple T-shirt, gold earrings and necklace, and the gold watch that Daughter gave her, but she needs beige shoes too. Yep! She's just like that. (If you don't know it already, she's let her hair grow long to suit the current fashion. It's still brown but with some white along the front when your girl got the face-life about five years ago. (She's considering another one some day or other.)
Fio had a real scare last week when H-E-B wouldn't accept her credit card, but as it turned out, your girl had lost the bill under her bed when she'd opened her groceries and it had flitted away. Once that frightening event had been cleared up, all was well....for now.
"Deutschland" is, of course, Germany. Das Deutschland is THE Germany.
