The day is getting shorter and shorter, which makes Fiorella bite her lip and look around when she steps outside to make sure no disgruntled elves are lurking around. Yes, your girl likes Christmas, but couldn't it be a bit brighter and more jolly? How about sleigh rides up and done the street? Or a few carolers off to an early start?
Meanwhile, Fio ponders her own fate. Is her sore throat healed enough that she can add her own cords to the singing? And what about those homemade holiday cards she produces every year? Will she be able to follow up on them?
Of course, remember that heavy snow is not the best memory for your girl, that she almost died a couple of years back in the "great Texas snowstorm." But maybe she could use her childhood Ohio memories to find search out a nice little patch of snow and roll it into three balls, then stick a couple lumps of coal in its head for eyes, nose, and mouth, and have a jolly-faced snowman....
And what do you want for Christmas, Fiorella is asked, and she replies that she needs some sweet Santa to search under her bed for her missing glasses, her wedding silver, and her shoe supports.
But even more important, she'd like to see world peace....and family peaceđź’—
