Fiorella is still in shock about yesterday's shooting. What is wrong with these people? How can we prevent this atrocity from happening again? WHAT CAN FIO HERSELF DO TO MAKE THIS WORLD A MORE SAFE, PEACEFUL PLACE?
No guardian angel has appeared and given your girl instructions yet so she'll double down to do what she can in her own way by being as kind and helpful as she can, keeping a smile on her face, and trying to spread her love--and heart--to the world.
At the same time, she has to get into better physical shape and make contact with old friends so she can find herself again and plan for the future. Despite the carpal tunnel, she's playing the piano now and hopes to be able to compose again, and then there's her art/design, which has been limited to decorating her rooms in the new house so far. Next comes her writing. This blog has been your girl's joy (THANK YOU!), but she also has two books swimming around in her brain--Lolly's story, which she started about five years ago, and a new one in which the heroine is more mature. Last, but not least, are Fio's languages, German, Russian, and Spanish, all of which have fallen subject to "If you don't use it, you lose it," but which she hopes to regain by going backwards and using them, using them, using them. (Actually, she had been learning Spanish by TV, which may not be legitimate. And if you're wondering, Latin and Telugu aren't on her plate any more.)
Has Fio told you too much? She does tend to reveal all when she's really upset, and ten people being mowed down in a grocery store by a stupid kid because he's been fed racist propaganda all his life both angers and disgusts her.
Hang him high and charge his parents as accomplices.
