Today is the day that Fiorella will deal not only with another corner of her studio and sorting out her clothes, but also standing in line at Walgreens for three prescriptions and some sundries--shoe strings, cologne, and a pony-tail clip. (Yep, your girl's hair is of that length now!)
By the way, while Fio's piano playing would never have gotten her a performance in Carnegie Hall, she's getting better with each visit to the keyboard. Does that mean she should try to sing again? And maybe write a few more songs?
Ripping through her college grad-school papers which, yes, your girl has saved though the years, Fiorella wondered if she could still translate Telugu, at least on paper. Interesting enough, her professor wasn't that interested in the language as speech, but drilled like crazy when it came to the written word.
Granddaughter's favorite friend at her pre-school is Hawaiian, which reawakens the linguist in Fiorella. Genes will tell!
Guess who took a trip to Walgreens to pick up meds today and couldn't help but add in a bottle of cologne, a plastic pony tail clasp, and two bags of chocolate?
