Well, it looks like that terrible head cold that Fiorella has been fighting is abating at last, but it's too late for her to rejoin the Methodist choir for Christmas, and who knows--your girl just might find a nice Lutheran choir in the backwoods somewhere that needs a nice soprano. Of course, as usual, wherever she goes, Fio will still have a problem with transportation. Right now, she's trying to get in touch with the city people who provide what amounts to low-cost-taxi service for (ahem) people her age, but so far. no luck.
In the meantime, your girl has been cleaning up her bedroom, which is no easy task because Fio saves EVERYTHING. After all, you never know when your discards might be turned into something useful.
If you're having a hard time finding just the right Christmas present for a friend or relative whose house runneth over, consider checking with him to see how he would feel about you sending a nice check to his favorite charity.
Quick change of subject: Fiorella is considering giving herself some a personal present or two after the New Year, so don't be surprised if she shows up with minor face-lift. She's done it before and is thinking of a repeat. (She'd love to have a nice big dog too, but that ainta-gonna happen, sigh.)
Skipping ahead to the New Year, your girl would like to get out more and meet up with old friends, and, at the same time, make new friends. Wish her well!
