Today is Sonia Dog's last day on earth. Having talked to the vet, your girl has decided it is better that Doggie be euthanized than live in continual pain that she doesn't understand. Arthritis and cancer are hard to explain to a dog, even the smartest and sweetest one in the world.
Fiorella's decision was not made lightly. She loves her Sonia with all her heart, and she prays there's a canine heaven where her boon companion, the dog that stayed with her through one of the worst episodes in her life, can join the line established by doggies Sophia Vasa and Freelove Nicklebeer so many years ago when Fio and Husband were first married.
Will Fio introduce another dog to you? She doubts it. Your girl still has a lot to unpack, a lot to get caught up on, and a lot to think about--like that a new friend having asked her to paint a large family portrait. Is Fiorella up to it? We'll see.
To immediately contradict herself, Fio's thinking about putting another dog in the next book she writes, but that won't be for a while.
Please pray for Fiorella, Sonia Dog, and every canine on earth and in heaven.
