Fiorella, being as empathetic as they come, is the natural prey of sociopaths, and she's attracted her share of the beasts. All of them have all been totally charming and wickedly funny, and they've made Fio feel special by singling her out to be their friend--their BEST friend.  Of course, when a better prospect comes along, they drop Fio like the proverbial hot potato, and Fio's heart breaks.
