What a day, what a day! Son, his wife, and daughter gave Fiorella a wonderful birthday party today with Daughter and her beau joining in, but the star of the show, of course, was Granddaughter, who not only provided the entertainment, but was the happiest one there.
Speaking of family, Fio is still going through all the pictures her ancestors had taken, but she wishes more of them had scribbled down their names.
Actually, your girl's birthday isn't until Thursday, but Sunday was the only day everyone could get together. No problem--Fio never objects when chocolate is involved.
What about your studio, you ask. What stage are you in now? "I've taken care of most of my paintings and drawings, but am still plowing through old papers," I answer. "Wish me well."
No one else in the world has a studio door like Fiorella's--from the top down, she taped her junior-high ad for that pirate play, a painting that Son L made when he was in pre-school, an advertisement for herself under her pen name, and her legal name.
