HERE AND THERE

Fiorella is in hot water, or maybe she should call it hot blood.....

Yes, it's the time that your girl has to get her blood checked out, but she finds it difficult to do because she doesn't have the transportation to get to the prescribed place at the prescribed time. GRRRRRRRR!

Wish Fio luck: she's going to try to get to her really great Tremor doctor (it's an inheritance  from her father's side of the family) as soon as possible--or has your girl already told you about it?

Excuse her, but right now, her communications are are their lowest. On top of the blood concerns, Fiorella is finding it hard to sleep because the weather is so DOGGONE HOT that she can't even take her usual walk around the neighborhood cul-de-sac! (HELLO UP THERE IN VERMONT AND BRITON! DO YOU REMEMBER THE SUMMER DAYS IN TEXAS?)

Love, love, love from Fiorella 💗

Back and Forth

Please forgive Fio for having messed up the relationship between her transportation and the doctor's office......GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Am hoping that everything will come back together tomorrow.

Your girl started out on her daily cul-de-sac voyage, but had to turn back because she'd left her big pink hat at the house and it was HOT outside.

Sorry, that's all for today, although actually their is more, but Fio has to get everything put back together first. No crockery, just thinkery.

COMPLAINING AGAIN

Fio is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORED! Nothing to do, nowhere to go, no one to talk to. Have even used up all the TV "MURDER SHE WROTE" novels. AND AGAIN, WHAT CAN YOUR FIO DO?  She's supposedly going off on a visit to her blood checker-outer tomorrow, but who knows? The last driver she had was a disaster: she got me to the place an hour early, which the blood people  DO NOT LIKE (and took it out on Fio.)

Your girl doesn't have much to say today because she doesn't know any one in the neighborhood and probably never will. She has lived in a fair number of neighborhoods in her blankity-blank-blank years, but none of them were as secretive as this one!

Of course, life would be better for her if she signed up for a program for the elderly (which she's planning to do), but it would be so much nicer if a neighbor gave her a lift---or maybe a nice, lonesome widower?

SAFETY

Fio has done something really dumb--but what's new about that? She's lost track of the weekdays so now, she's out of food and Son L will have to drive her to H-E-B so she'll be able to load up again, but what about her patient driver?

"Why did it happen," you ask yourself. "You usually have a nice list in your bra?"

But not this time.  All Fiorella could think now of was the children who had been massacred in deep Texas two years back and, many years back, her nephew and his girl, just out of high school, walking with his girlfriend across the street from the University of Texas.

The horror has hovered over the whole family even unto the third generation, but Fiorella had thought we were safe now. But we're not, and that is why Fio can't stop crying.

CLIMBING THE ROPE!

Daughter took Fiorella to a ladies wear store today and your girl is proud to announce that she is now overloaded with cute bras and panties. Now to get a some cute tops and dresses and a BIG, CUTE, LOVING DOG!

Oh, Fio forgot to say that she's been playing around with her piano recently again so maybe there's still a little music in her yet............

But most of all, Fiorella needs friends--people who are interested in her and her work--maybe because she was on the stage before she even entered kindergarten. and it stuck.....

In other words: LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU 💗💗💗💗💗😁

ENOUGH FOR THE DAY

In her continuing edging toward normalcy, Fiorella has decided to cook herself some eggs, a joy that she hasn't enjoyed since she first moved in four--or five--years ago.  WHOOPEEEEE....except that she doesn't have any eggs right now. Ah well: her grocery lady will drop by tomorrow, she hopes.

Fio has also looked into the backyard of the house and there are a fair number of peaches like she ones she enjoyed in her childhood preparing to clear off the ground, but what Fiorella really want wants to see is the family singing on the porch in the evening again💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

FIO CANNOT WRITE ANY MORE. A FAMILY MEMBER WAS KILLED  YEARS AGO BY A YOUNG MAN WHO CLIMBED THE UNIVERSITY TOWER STAIRS and Fio still weeps for him and our family.

FOREVER

Fiorella's upset. She can't get the University of Texas shooting out of her mind, the one that killed her teenage nephew and still affects the family to the bone. And, at the same time, your girl prays for forgiveness of the young man to whom life had become such a horror that he couldn't see anything else to do but grab a gun and take as many college students with him as he could.

And then there came the half-child who killed the children in their classroom.....

Fio can say no more, but her heart will bleed forever.

What date is it today..?..

1) Putin started a take-over of the Ukraine

2) The USA hurried to the rescue (mediating, military, etc)

3) Putin rallied the Arabic countries and used them it to the attack the US from the inside

4) It's hard for the US to battle two of Russia's armies at the same time, as Putin well knows

5) THINK ABOUT IT!

________________________________________________________________________

You girl has been wiping away tears this evening while looking at pictures of the Texas house she grew up in and still remembers the address of. She also remembers the names of most of her teachers and friends, etc. Hmmm...maybe Fio will be able to convince someone (her brother and his wife?)  to head the journey with her.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Whatever, your girl has got to start to producing again.....she hasn't written a book, sung or composed anything, painted a picture, worked on languages, or even done much otherwise (because she CAN'T DRIVE any more!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

________________________________________________________________________________

AND NOW, FIO IS TRYING TO FIX A CHECK SHE SENT TO THE WRONG PLACE!

NOT AT MY BEST

I wish that I could move away--

To where's there is not a  soul to say

  There she goes again today

To waste her work down by the bay

All she ever does is play!!

PLEASE FORGIVE MY TORTURED  FORM OF THIS POEM YESTERDAY.  I'M SORT OF SICK AGAIN. MAYBE I'LL BE BETTER IN THE AFTERNOON........

(Hey, change of pace. Is there anyone from Miss Osborn's Latin class still around!)

HELP ME!

FIORELLA IS SOOOOOOO BOARD! She doesn't have anything to do or say-- no interesting TV, nothing to read, no dog to walk. HELP!

Fio entertained herself yesterday by washing her "dirty" clothes, which didn't really need it, but what else could she do? The only woman in the cul-de-sac who's waved to her semi-regularly is in the hospital!

When did your over-talkative girl become invisible, the one who was featured in magazines, who whizzed through her college assignments, who rose to the head of various very active mothers' groups? Who organized Christmas serenades? Who made her own Christmas cards? Who was commissioned to paint  scenery and peoples' children? Who has even written a couple of romance books?

HAS FIORELLA HIT THE DUST?

HOW ABOUT SOME MORE OLD RHYMES OF FIORELLAS ?

 Hope

Hope is a snake that curls within my breast,

A sharp-tonged viper aimed against my heart,

A blood-cold serpent, most unwelcome guest

That strikes from time to time when I'm off-guard--

Hope is a Scaramouche, a clever fool,

A honeyed braggart, slick, a worthless flirt,

A quack deceiver, lord of ridicule

Who gulls my brain when I an not alert--

Hope is a misshaped bloom, a crooked tree

Which grows unbidden in my dismal yard,

The soft, sweet fruit of which will poison me

If I desert my post, let down my guard--

  But do not slay it--let the villain be;

For murder hope, and murder all of me--

           Essence of Fiorella

Nothing there is that is safe from me,

Nothing I hear or read or see--

I am a person of constant ideas,

Usually in overflow,

A veritable Vesuvius of the brain--

Beware, take care--WATCH OUT BELOW!

DAY DREAMS

Fio's promises aren't exactly reliable theses days, but she'll try to do a better job today, despite turning the side of her ankle and waylaying her left knee. Yep, when your girl messes things up, she does it at full steam ahead (duck and cover)......

There's no friend like an old friend--or has Fiorella already told you about Son L getting Marion X, a pal of Fio's who sang carols with her and a couple of other ladies at Christmastide----once even in my friend's own home? (Thank you,💕)

Now, if your girl could just get a couple of missing relatives to visit for their long-time family gifts: DO YOU HEAR ME, "A" and "B?"

What would Fio like for Christmas? How about a gentleman about Fiorella's age, and a nice puppy that will grow into a big, happy, floppy-eared piece of love.💔

Oh....last, but not least, your girl would  like a driver who would take her anywhere she wanted/needed to go.

RUNNING A LITTLE LATE....

Hooray, hooray: due to some sort of adjustment to her Facebook, Fiorella might be able to catch up with her remaining friends again. Now if she could just visit with them in person.....

Things have been a little on edge at the house today, topped off by Fiorella's favorite cat  knocking over the lovely bouquet that Daughter had given Fio for Mother's Day.

Face it, Fiorella: you have to sign up with one of the local drivers. Son L doesn't have the time to haul you around everywhere that you want to go....and maybe you'll meet more people that way too.

It's times like this that your girl misses Husband the most.

REMEMBER: THE FIRST ATTACK WAS FROM HAMAS!

Fiorella looks at  the TV news every day to make sure Trump is still in the hot seat. His Majesty has never been one of her fans, and she's still sure his election was rigged--that's just the way he works--and she wouldn't be surprised if Trump was the one who ruffled up the Hamas feathers either. Or maybe that was vise-versa: the Hamas getting oily and using Trump to making so much noise that it covered what what they were going on at universities, etc.

Remember, the first attack was Hamas.....

By the way, now that the USA is under attack, could we guess that Russia is in on it too? After all, if we have to fend off our country from with in so wouldn't it be easier for Hamas to be sneaked into college campuses, than attack?

BUT why would Hamas want to attack us, you ask? Obvious--- because the US is protecting Ukraine, and if we fail there, Russia can close in on not only the Ukraine, but other countries nearby. Putin is like that.

That's enough for today. Ponder it!!!

FIO IS SO HAPPY BECAUSE SOMEHOW THE BAND (OR WHATEVER) BARRED FIO FROM PLAYING WITH THE PEOPLE ON THE PAGES IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ACTION! YEP, EXPECT A LOT MORE RIVETING AND CUTE, CUTE, CUTE PLAYING AROUND!

Pieces of My Past

Fio found some semi-interesting writings while she was prowling through her papers today, so, of course, she's going to share them with you, whether you want to read them or not, SO HERE WE GO!

1) Graduate students are peculiar creatures, neither fish nor fowl,

And sometimes the tension gets to them

   November 1987

2) RAILROAD CROSSING

Eyes that look beside you as you walk down the hall

Eyes that swivel sideways when you meet on the stair

Ears that do not heed you when they hear your call

Ears that do not listen-- because they do not care

So the helpless go unhelped and the hungry go unfed

And oftentimes I wonder as I lie awake in bed

What exactly would they do  if I shot them in the head--

Would they still ignore me as they dropped down dead?

3) SHIP WRECK

Grab a board and hang on tight

            The damn thing's going down!

But maybe if you've played your cards just right

You'll take some bastards with you when you drown!

4) Three weeks after miscarriage

Sometimes I wake in the early morning and am sad

I can't go back to sleep despite the pills, the calming darkness, or the comfort

Of my husband holding me close by--

Finally I leave the bed and go to the kitchen to cry

And think of the baby we never had

This and That....

My head turns left, my head turns right,

Let's hope the thing can hold on tight!

I finally found my Kleenex box

At the bottom of my closet

Which wasn't a very nice a place

 Was it.....

Oh, did Fiorella tell you that her glasses reappeared from under her chest? The ones that holds clothes, not the ones that......uh, that grows on you.

Some old rhymes of mine and a couple Of new ones

 War Cry

I can't march well, but I can write--

I can't sing much, but my pen can bite--

I use age-old weapons in my eternal fight

To overcome wrong and lift up right

__________________________________________________

Fio can't find her reading glasses

Are they near or are they far?

Or did she leave them in the car?

The wind is cold, the grass is straw

The daytime moon rides high

As Old Man Rowley rakes the leaves

And scowls at passers by,

Raising an angry fist to heaven

Against a tie-dyed sky

Tittle and Tat

Fiorella is soooooooooooo board! No husband, children, or friends to make nice things for anymore? No problems with bills, no nosy neighbors to keep her awake at night, no dreaming about the future, no  about the latest gossip? Is this what elderness is....a slow fade-away into nothingness? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......

The Mothers in My Neighborhood

(Actually this poem was written a while back, when your girl was still in her early motherhood)

    The mothers in my neighborhood

Are skilled with stakes and twine

To brace the wilting sapling up

And guide the pliant vine

   The mothers in my neighborhood

Are skilled with saw and string

To lop the errant branches off

And nip the buds of early spring

_____________________________________________

Guess what?! Fiorella is thinking about writing another romance book,

but she'll have to get together with a few other salacious writers in order to find out what is

cookin' nowadays. Hmmmmm.........

_____________________________________________

Completely off the subject. your girl has been checking out her art salon lately for

better use of her clothes closet  for sewing. Yes, Fio used to produce a fair number of

her own clothes and would like to do that again some how.........

_______________________________________PS:

Hey, there! Want you to know that Fio, a born Lutheran and a former college professor,

does not approve  of ANYONE getting attacked because of his/her religion or belief!

GUESS WHAT! Did you know that Fiorella's hair (medium brown) is 21 inches long and STRETCHES

TO HER WAIST?____________________________________________________________

God Bless My Friends!

Fiorella had a wonderful call from a friend in Vermont this morning, which was just what your girl needed. Thank you, Paula 💗💗💗

As you know (or don't), Fio has written--and had published--two romance novels a while back, but dropped out of the game when her husband died, the Texas storm nearly killed her, and her whole life went to pieces. However, she's wondering if she could get back in the game again....💕

Speaking of getting back into the game, Fiorella would really like to have a dog of her own....A BIG, HAPPY ONE !😋

What's going on around the house? Your girl's cute little orange scissors have disappeared. Please return them if you see them.😉

Wish Fio luck--she's been having trouble with her Facebook and hopes a friend can fix it for her😓.

TOO FAST, TOO FAST!

Guess what! As she was packing things away for storage, your girl glanced at an old magazine called AUSTIN (Texas), which opened to page 48 and a bold title....and guess, guess, guess who the author was? FIORELLA! (And guess who  contributed legal information about The Law and Aging Parents,  and on the next page, Their Children's Responsibility for such situations?   Fio's BROTHER! )

WOW, will your girl have dreams tonight!!! (Wonder what Brother is dreaming?)

Calming down a little, Fio hopes to pick up her blood draw on May 7, then scoot off to set up a couple more medical deliveries. 😁Are you yawning yet?

It's weird: when your girl attended college (UT ), she knew every bit of it--practically lived there😁--but since then, she's never returned except when a former India Indian friend of hers dropped by and we couldn't find anyone we knew......

YES, FIORELLA IS UPSET ABOUT EVERYTHING! COULDN'T TIME PASS A LITTLE SLOWER?

                                                                       😕

Time Out!

Fiorella is feeling sickie, but she'll get well quickie. 💗
