Adventure in Exploring

Fiorella's good day yesterday continued to be good, despite the fact that when she and Husband decided to walk three of their property lines, they got lost in the jungle behind the house for two hours plus, and would have been spending the night sleeping under cedars if they hadn't spotted a house through the trees and appealed for help from the nice woman who opened the door. Not only did Dana Gray invite them to rest on her front porch and give them bottles of water, but she also led them back through the forest to their own acreage, which turned out to be right behind her own spread.

Oh, and did Fio mention that Sonia had been along for the trek? Poor baby--she's still sleeping it off.

Blessed Silence

Fiorella needs her quiet time, when she's all alone with herself and can rush around the house doing whatever needs to be done or can sit on the sofa and write--or just contemplate the world.  She needs to have a mental rest time, when she doesn't have to talk or respond to an interlocutor.  She likes socializing, but sometimes the madding crowd gets to be too much.

Respite

Fiorella took the day off yesterday.  Well, she'd developed a bad headache and pretty much had to, but, like many bad things, it worked out for the best.  Her brain had been blasted on Tuesday by working on the taxes.  And she's been doing catch-up stuff after writing night and day for a couple of months there. But yesterday, all she did was drive off for a photofacial, which is relaxing in itself, then spend the rest of the the day watching dumb television, and drowsing.  Oh--and Husband took her out for a steak dinner.

But today, she'll hit the old grindstone again.  Her list is waiting.
