On the Run

The good thing about this book is that Fiorella's lost ten pounds to stress.  The bad thing is that she's running behind and has two days to top it off.  Ah, the carefree life of an author.

Wish her well. See ya tomorrow.

Stressed, You Say?

This has been a hard week for Fiorella,  That engine light was still on so Fio had to take the car to the dealer for a $400 repair, she was diagnosed with GERD (good-bye, chocolate), attacked by a herd of mosquitoes, hit the concrete face-first again, is still recovering from having her false vocal chords shot up with botox, is agonizing over revisions of her new book, and is preparing not only for the NY writers' conference, but for her birthday,

The good thing is that she's lost two pounds.

Tidbits

Fiorella is not interested in food per se.  She does not like to read about it, to talk about it, or to cook it.  She does like to eat it, though.

In re, she refuses to accept the weight that the stupid scales credit her with.  It's just that gravity has a stronger pull on her than on other people.

After all, everyone knows that chocolate calories don't count.

Look at Me!

How disappointing.  No one has ever questioned my driver's license.  And I've had a facelift and several photo-facials since the picture was taken.  And my hair has turned blonde.  And I've lost weight.

Is it my blinding beauty, my engaging personality, or do they figure I'm too old to do any harm?

Food and Fio

Food itself is not interesting to Fiorella.  She likes certain foods more than others and will eat far too much of them at one sitting if she has the opportunity. Day to day, she eats the same thing for her late breakfast--shredded wheat--then skips lunch, then is at a loss for supper.  Going out is nice, but it costs money. Husband's specialties are tasty, but then there's the clean-up. Take-out is a cornucopia of calories.  That leaves ice cream and popcorn, which Fiorella restricts to once a week each.

Might as well starve.

Post-Halloween Trauma

All work and no play has made for Fiorella gaining about five pounds.  Yes, slumping on the couch in the den and working on the new book the whole day long means she has skipped those twice-around-the-driveway walks with Sonia Dog.  And, well, an overload of Halloween candy hasn't helped.  Yes, Fiorella's hips are currently all too well padded with miniature Milky Ways, and Husband has been finishing off the Butterfingers.  We are both into Halloween big-time--and Halloween is into us,  For about a week longer, I estimate.  Then the dieting begins.
