As far as Fio's concerned, there's never a red light available when she's on the road and needs to jot down notes for whatever she is writing.

Your's truly is so bitten up by mosquitoes that it'll be a miracle if she has any blood left for her INR nurse to draw next time around.
*
Fio hijacked Husband's little red cushion for her car seat, and the world has really opened up now that she can see over the top of her steering wheel.
*
Fiorella was a top-notch student, but she thinks it's a lot more important to be a good person. She also supports public schools, which have long been the melting pot of the nation.

Husband is watching a football game on TV, but Fio couldn't care less. The only time she ever got excited about football was years ago when she was in a stadium and got carried away by the enthuiasm of the crowd.

Leftovers
People always think Fio is an extrovert, but actually, she's an introvert who talks a lot.
*
Fio just realized that the first letters of Trump's kids' names spell out D-E-B-I-T. Think about it.
*
Vision, what they see, is the dominant force driving some people. For other people, noise, what they hear, is their dominant force. The former, like Fiorella, are artists. The latter, like Husband, are musicians. Fio requires silence and Husband needs sound, sound, sound.
*
Pray for Fio. It looks like she'll have most of the day free to write--after she's picked up some timbers at Home Depot to finish off her raised iron plant bed, of course.
*
La Piloto seems to be resolving its major plot points. Dave and Yolanda are together at last, and John Lucio is in federal prison. Now for Zulima, who killed Amanda, to gets her just deserts. Also, Oscar Lucio should join his brother in the hoosegow, Colonel Santamaria should meet a bloody end, and the corrupt politicians should be exposed. Fio hopes that Monica will be exonerated and receive her own happy ending, but has a feeling that she's going to sacrifice herself to save Dave or Yolanda.
*
Husband will be getting his knee replaced soon. A couple of months ago, his left shoulder was replaced. Fio has quite a few replacements herself. The airport metal detectors are going to have a field day.

Better and Better
Fiorella is still experiencing the thrills of 3D when she takes Sonia around the driveway. The trees seem to advance upon her as walks toward them, as if it's a mutual meeting. And she sees their roundness and marvels at the roughness of their bark. On a more practical level, she can also see through the cedar thicket at the west end of the driveway to check for deer.
OMG, what would a deer vaulting across the path look like?

Cyclops Sees!
Fiorella has made a wonderful discovery--3D! Yes, if she wears glasses with yellow lenses, she can see depth again--at least while she's out walking the dog.
Fiorella lost her depth vision many years ago when an infection attacked her maculas, destroying the central vision in her left eye. It took a while to get used to being a Cyclops, but Fiorella soon learned not to look at steps when she was going down them, and to judge distance by shadows and perspective. She still ends up driving over curbs every now and then and sometimes pours milk onto the table rather than into a cup, but, all in all, she does okay. In fact, she thought she had forgotten what it was like to see depth.
Until she put on the glasses with the yellow lenses. Are you ready for another walk, Sonia?

Darkness at Noon
The morning started out bright, then darkened suddenly as a rainstorm pummeled Fiorella's windshield while she was on her way to Austin. Experienced in bad-weather driving, Fio took her foot off the pedal and kept the car aimed straight ahead until she caught sight of a broken white line, then rode the side of it carefully for the next five miles.
The other cars had slowed down too, but not as much as Fio. What was her problem, and why was everything so dark?
Oops. She still had her sunglasses on.
