Clinton Debate

No, Fio didn't watch the debate. She dropped out of debating in the eleventh grade because she suddenly realized she didn't like arguing.. Back to the present, people know who they're going to vote for by now so Fio just wants to mark her ballot and get it over with.

Okay, she'll admit she read the reviews of the debate, especially the funny ones, but that was it.

Why Write?

You've probably figured it out--Fio is a compulsive writer.  Whether poetry or prose, it flows right out of her (poetry or prose/out of her it flows), Why?  Sure, she read, read, read from childhood on, but a lot of people read, read, read, but never write, write, write.  So why does Fio have file cabinets stuffed with story ideas, clever lines, and golden words?  Why has she produced essays, reviews, articles, songs, sonnets, novels?  Why does she write a daily blog?

The only answer Fio can come up with is that somewhere along the way, a computer key in her brain got held down way too long..

Possibilities

As Fiorella's publishing date draws closer, she wonders what kind of reviews her book will get.  She's noticed that authors frequently cross-review each other and that their friends and relatives often sweeten the pot, but she was surprised to discover that some authors have almost a thousand reviewers.

The other night, when she was up late working on revisions, an advertisement came on for a company that guarantees it can overwhelm any bad or lackluster reviews with a flood of positive ones and thus give a business a top-notch rating.

Hmmm . . . .
