Fiorella is getting tired of the Presidential election campaign. She doesn't care if Hillary has caught a cold. She doesn't even care about how much money Trump has bilked out of people who signed up to work for him or be "educated" by him. She just wants a little rest from the both of them.

Entertain Me!
Fiorella has always been interested in people who are different, i.e., interesting. If you come from another country or speak another language, Fio wants to get acquainted. If you have a story to tell, Fio will listen and congratulate or console you (although she also may use bits and pieces of it in her next book). If you have a special talent or skill, Fiorella wants to know all about it.
But she'll politely head in the other direction if you're boring.

Warning Label
Never leave Fiorella to her own devices. The most frightening words you can hear Fiorella say are "I'm bored." No one can predict what she will do next.
And neither can she.
And neither can she.

Restless Fio Syndrome
Fiorella has always known that she is different, but sometimes she forgets--until a situation jolts her into awareness, a situation like a long, boring meeting.
Most people will sit back, relax, and let their minds go blotto, but not Fio. Her brain remains busy--looking, listening, thinking, planning. Then, after a while, she will start to move--wiggling her feet, flexing her hands, rotating her head, stretching her body. She will even fish in her purse and whisper clever comments to the people around her. Stage three is reached when she starts feeling like she can't breathe because the air is stale--everybody else is inhaling HER air!
Behavioral, genetic--who cares. Fio has to live with it. Unfortunately, so does everyone else.

Up, Up, Up!
Fiorella was bored yesterday, which is a good sign. It means she isn't falling asleep during the day as much, that she has more stamina, and that her body is urging her to be more active. Accordingly, she's been using a cane to amble around the house, even going upstairs and finding more clothes for the week. Today she's planning to drive around a little in prep for a journey to Austin on Wednesday. She'll also be setting up outpatient treatment for the next two weeks. This weekend she may be able to move back upstairs to the master bedroom.
Wish her luck. Fio makes a lousy invalid.
