Annihilating Rats

The first thing Fiorella does when she comes downstairs every morning is attend to the rat-killin', the electronic necessities that have to be be dealt with before she can embark on the grand scheme of the day.  She starts with Google news, moves on to Blogspot to be sure her entry printed and is semi-coherent, lingers on Facebook to catch up with raves, ranks, and her own timeline, and then spends a fair amount of time on email.

And the reason she used the term "rat killin'" is that she's practicing it for dialogue in WHERE THE HEART LEADS.

Recognition!

Fiorella has been recognized. Let the drums roll and the trumpets sound. Pat O'Dea Rosen out of Houston, with whom Fio became acquainted through The Emily, West Houston's prestigious romance writing contest, has awarded her that green stamp of approval to the right. If You Wondered What Happened . . . .

Fiorella is frustrated--and a little bit angry. The frustration has to do with all eighteen of her letters to Lenovo being returned as supposedly being to the wrong address. And with the trouble she is having entering the Golden Claddagh, a writing contest,including PayPal suddenly deciding her password is incorrect. The anger has to do with BlogSpot, which took down the site for a couple of hours Wednesday night but couldn't get it up again. Fio's Thursday blog was erased, then restored, but the one she had ready for today has TOTALLY disappeared. It's not even in her "edit" file any more!
