Happy Ending

Fiorella is terribly embarrassed--the fault was all hers. She lost the cord to her computer yesterday--well, as it turned out, she'd misplaced it rather than lost it. Uhm--full confession: she'd rolled the cord up into a ball and stuck it in back of her printer to semi-clear her counter because she'd been told a minor roof repair would be finished and real estate people would be visiting--neither of which happened. Needless to say, Son L is enlisting another company to take care of the roof job.

Concerned about her loss of computer communication, Fio woke up this morning with a dismal dark cloud over her head, but she decided to take a deep breath and plan out her Christmas cards, even though there was an annoying ping-ping-ping from somewhere around the desk across the room. Nothing to do but check it out.

WAIT A MINUTE! Isn't that the thick white block usually connected to my power cord? Hmm...what would happen if I pulled that cord out that seems to be attached to it?

And that is now Fiorella recovered her cord, learned she should pay attention to pings, and lived happily ever after.
