SOMETIMES BRILLIANT IDEAS DON'T WORK or THE MACHINE WON!

Hello! Hope you are doing well. Your girl will be trotting off to the doctor today. She has a light touch of tremor that has to be attended to every now and then. It runs in the family. Thank goodness there are ways to deal with it, but what is really bothering her now is her throat. She sounds like she's gargling all the time. Sucret, anyone?

Going through one of my old romances sparks me up. After all, if Fio could write one, she could do it again. Hmm.... the heroin could be a widow trying to adjust to her sudden status. Believe me, your girl has had plenty of experience with that!

Oh, big news--most of our days are under 100 degrees now, and your girl actually walked the cul-de-sac yesterday--and will walk it again today in the evening. She has a lot to make up for....

Our taxes are almost all done and Fio gives all the credit to Son L. Taxes are NOT one of Fio's better skill.

GO DOWN, DOWN, DOWN about a foot and you'll see the rest of the show. Fio tried something that didn't work

WHERE THE HEART LEADS--

The door opened and a nurse wheeled in a plexiglass cradle on top of a medal cabinet, then transferred a blanket-rapped bundle into her mother's eager arms.

Moira felt a sweet pan of longing in her breast. Would she ever be a mother? Ever hold her own sweet baby in her arms? Maybe a little boy with a shock of bright red hair?

Close that door right now, girl.  Any relationship you have with Rafe will be on the terms he originally proposed--sex only, body satisfying body.

EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES!

Sorry--Fiorella had an unhappy morning surprise and forgot all about her decision to write early in the day. Apparently, your girl actually is on the edge of diabetes, and it's shaken her to the core.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

WHERE THE HEART LEADS

Rafe crossed the bridge and turned onto the street that ran parallal to the river on the other side, the one lined with restaurants. No need to guess which one was Six-Shooter Junction. The animated marquee sign that featured two electronically smoking pistols framing a list of the specials of the day was a dead giveaway.

Rafe parked the truck and came around to lift her out. To anyone watching them, he was a tall man courteously helping a height-challlnged woman out of a big truck. They wouldn't know that he skimmed his hands lightly--just enough that she knew they were there--along the outline of her hips. They wouldn't know that he brushed her breasts against himself, caughing her nipples tp send her signals she was tryng to ignore.

And they wouldn't know that when she reached the ground, his sparkling eyes looked deap into hers.

Those eyes--just when she thought she'd become immune to them, they worked their magic all over again.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

PERSONAL PROBLEMS, GERMAN LESSEN, WHERE THE HEART LEADS

How weird.... Fiorella has lost five pounds plus, but her favorite slacks, which fit when when she heavier,  seem to have shrunk. What's going on? Maybe an ex-ray is in order. Will keep you posted.

Your girl is very disappointed that she can't get a ride to her church, which is way across town. Pastor gave her the name of a woman who lives near nearby, but he didn't give her the phone number. All Fio can say is what will be, will be....

Has Fiorella told you that Son L had a light touch of Covid a few weeks back? He was careful and no one else in the family was affected, but the situation reminded Fio that we should all get whatever shots are on the market now.

 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO000

A TIDBIT FROM ONE OF FIO'S ROMANCES

Three songs later, Ernest Tubb was walking the floor over his lost girlfriend, and Moira had relaxed enough that Rafe could hold her against him from shoulder to knee.

He leaned down to nuzzle her neck.

Her scent was in his nostrils, the feathery softness of her short-cropped hair brushed against his jaw, and her arms were clinging to his shoulders. It had been months since he'd been this attracted to a woman. Maybe he could take her somewhere tonight where they could be alone, somewhere that at least had a couch in it.

But no, it was way too soon. He wanted Moira for more than a one-night stand.

FIORELLA TELLS ALL...AND ALL....AND ALL

Your girl just discovered that she can't watch an interesting old-time movie and and write a blog at the same time. "Columbus" will just have to wait.....

In case you are wondering, Fiorella puts on her clothes and makes her bed as soon as she gets up every morning, then chooses her outfit  for the day, then--because she doesn't have  a chair in her small bedroom--snuggles up on her bed like a teen anger and types out what's happening in her world. Of course, she never tells all. The family needs a certain amount of privacy.

Right now, Fio is gazing at the inside wall of her bedroom, which is peppered with three yards of things she doesn't want to forget: birthdays, phone numbers, art pieces, pictures, etc. Your girl's mother would give her a good talking to about her overkill if she were still around....but in a way, she IS still around because Fio has pictures of her (and Dad) everywhere.

Actually, Fiorella is a little down right now. The person whom Pastor thought would give your girl a ride to church didn't show. Hmm...maybe your girl was supposed to call her....

German: This is interesting! The German word for "student" is......Student

Where the Heart Leads

The temperature was in the seventies, the sky was studded with happy-looking clouds, the hum of the road was as a good yoga session, and the refrain of "Della's Prayer" echoed in the coridors of her mind:

If I sing enough, if I pray enough, if I am very, very good,

Maybe everything will turn out as I hope it will,

As it should, as it should

LANGUAGES, WHERE THE HEART LEADS, DAYTIME DECISION

First, Fio has to apologize for the confusion of not saying right out that Buch is "book," but all you linguists probably figured that out.

Next, your girl has to tell you that (WHOOPEE!) she found the new bottle of Levothyroxine she thought she'd lost. The rest of the afternoon, Fio spent on her current painting....until she got board constantly  reorienting the way she was forming her left eyeball. The rest of the evening went to Miss Marple, the know-all crime solver, and to tell the truth,  she's getting pretty boring.

Fio is usually worn out in the evening so she has decided to write her blog in the daytime from now on. It will be better for both of us because Fio will be more attentive and you will hopefully receive more meaningful blogs. Love, Fiorella Plum

  hoffen, hope......what we all need

A little bit more of  Where the Heart Leads

He rested a hand on her shoulder, a heavy, possessive hand that seemed to mean a lot more than that  casual shoulder hug. All her alarm bells went off. She wasn't ready for this! But if she wasn't ready, why did she have the urge to snuggle up against him and purr like a contented cat when his arm moved around her shoulder again.....

WHERE THE HEART LEADS

True to her promise (threat?), your girl will deliver unto you the first couple of paragraphs of the first chapter of her second publish book Where the Heart Leads.

Moira drove into the asphalt lot across the street from the yellow brick building and swung her six-year-old Toyota into a marked space.

 Panic crawled up her spine.

It's just another audience, the told herself. You know the routine--you've bin auditioning since you were a kid. No big deal. You ether get the part or you don't, and if you don't, there's always another audition around the corner.

But this wasn't Hollywood or New York--it was small-town Texas--and she wasn't a kid trying out for a role as somebody's tag-along little sister anymore. She was an adult, twenty-six years old, and today would be the first day of a three-month trial to be herself, Moira Miranda Farrar.... but with no safety net this time. She sighed. The Bosque Bend Theater Guild had signed her on to direct their upcoming production, and if she could pull it off, they'd keep her on..... permanently.

And if they didn't?

No, that wasn't an option. She had to keep this  job. Everything defended on her success--not only for her, but also for her family, just as it had since she was four years old when Gramp discovered she had a freakish memory and a gift for mimicry--with his disability pension stretched to the limit, she'd become the the major support of the family.

She draped her arms on the steering wheel and stared at the building that was gleaming gold in the bright October sun. It looked like an old school to her, but Pendleton Swaim, her contract with the theater group, had called it the town museum and told her the board met there.

Glancing at her stylishly oversized wristwatch, she she realized she was early, which gave her time to get the lay of the land before she met with her new employers....
