Fio Reports In

One thing you can count on is that Fiorella will always try to do the right thing, although sometimes it's the wrong thing, and she gets skewered for it, Of course, she often gets skewered for doing the right thing too. That's just how the ol' ball bounces.
*
A high school reunion--that's when you walk into a room full of old people and wonder who they used to be, which is the same thing they're wondering about you. Fio's going to be attending her reunion in October.
*
The poundingly nervous music background in shows like NCIS drives Fiorella out of the room. So does John Muir and his voice of imminent doom.
*
Fast away the old month passes, but Fio's quite pleased with what she's accomplished so far. On the literary front, Sabrina's story is progressing well (at last), Fio is pumping up to finish writing Lolly's story, and has decided to update and publish four other completed romances. She's also reached the half-way point in cleaning out her office. And she's back to hauling in fallen branches and lifitng rocks again.

Did Fio tell you that she's been reading Linda Howard again? Nothing like connecting with an old friend.

Rounding out Heaven

Fiorella's heavenly addenda include finding everything of hers she has lost or that someone has taken from her or destroyed, like that autograph book her Brownie mates signed before she left Ohio, her painting of Grendal she took to school in the twelfth grade, her grandmother's and great-grandmother's engagement rings, the ceramic she molded of a beloved guinea pig.

And Fio wants to reunite with her parents (although her father will probably be playing golf with Gabriel and the guys) and to visit with friends and family who have preceded her.  And she wants to cuddle her first baby, the one who was never born, the one for whom she still mourns.  And she wants to see all her dogs--Tina, Freelove, Sandy, Blackie, Hugo, Bella, Wendy, and, when her time comes, sweet Sonia. Heaven wouldn't be heaven without dogs.

High School Reunion

Husband and Fio are in Waco for her high school reunion.  It's interesting, exciting, and weird.  People grow up to be different than they were as teenagers--their appearances change with age, weight gain and loss, and hair colors and styles, while their personalities and attitudes have been altered by their varying experiences.

Fio is attending the reunion not only because she is curious about her former classmates, but also because she might pick up some good story ideas.  Hmm--light bulb goes on--maybe she could deduct the registration fee as a business expense.

Fiorella's Life

Fiorella has her newly-refurbished laptop back, but Baby seems to be missing a few spare parts--like Fio's email address list and the tool bar across the top of the screen.  So much for computers making our lives easier.  In reality, they addict us, then DRIVE US CRAZY!
*
Fio attended a high school reunion over the weekend and stayed in one of the nicest hotel rooms she's ever experienced--big, clean, comfortable, fully equipped, not a chip or stain anywhere. And the hallway carpets were gorgeous.  Waco Hiltin, everyone.
*
Now that she's home, Fio has to gird her loins and set up an author website.  Actually Minnesota Son will be doing the work, but Fio has to give him guidance.  God have mercy on us both.
*
One thing Fio will admit is great about having Baby back is that it has Spellcheck on it, which, judging by the typos that crept into the blogs Fiorella wrote the past couple of days, the desktop lacks.
