Rocking Twilight

Neighbor Marvin was kind enough to dump off  a pick-up load of rocks for Fiorella yesterday, and a couple of hours later, in the early twilight, she started laying them out along the driveway.. The whole time, she was imagining somebody--or something--coming out of the dark woods behind her and catching her by surprise. She'd throw rocks at him/it, of course, and, being the heroine, she'd make it back to the house safely. Or would she? Older women usually get knocked off in the first reel.

Rock Harvest

Fiorella and Husband went out to harvest their dry creek and ended up with eight rocks up on the road and one husband down in the creek. Luckily a neighbor came along and helped Fio pull him back up onto his feet.  Fio asked, and the woman said she likes to read romances so Fio retrieved a copy of WHAT THE HEART WANTS from the box she keeps in the trunk and gave it to her. The moral is that if you see people by the side of the road in need of assistance, stop and help--you never know what goodies they might have stored in their trunk.

Coincidence Exists

Fiorella admits she is a pattern seeker, but, unlike conspiracy theorists, she also admits the existence of coincidence.

For instance, Fio used to have a neighbor whose unusual first name was the same as the middle name of one of Fio's sons.  And the first name of one of Neighbor's sons was the same as the first name of Fio's other son and husband while the first name of Neighbor's other son was the male form of the first name of Fio's daughter. The only person in Neighbor's family whom Fio's family did not share a name with was Neighbor's wife.

And only Fiorella would figure all that out.
