Forgive Fio, but she's opened up another five-hundred piece jigsaw puzzle, a sunny Italian seaside scene. However, she's using a different tactic this time to avoid getting caught up in the puzzle when she should be writing: restricting herself to three movements at a time, even when she's on fire.

Jig Jag
Yes, when Fiorella isn't hurting, hurting, hurting, she's bored, bored, bored. And Fio is more difficult to to live with when she's bored than when she's hurting. TV helps some, but it gets boring too. And she's not up to playing the piano now. And Lord only know what sort of poem or story she would write while she's hopped up on massive doses of hydrocodone. Which leaves--obviously--A JIGSAW PUZZLE!
Fio adores jigsaw puzzles, although normally she refrains from committing herself to them because then she wouldn't get anything else done. But now's the time, and lines and shapes are the thing. She's giving herself through Sunday to finish this one off, and then she should be able to plow into PRINCESS RED again.

Puzzling Time
Fiorella has set up the card table and is working on a 750-piece jigsaw puzzle of Dubrovnik. All those red roofs and blue waters--aargh!
Jigsaws are Fio's secret addiction, her own private crack. The puzzles take time, patience, and a good eye. Fio would like to think of them as metaphors for life--that if one is clever and diligent, everything will work out.
But right now Dubrovnik is driving her crazy.
