Forella always has a long list of things to do, arranged on her tablet according to priority, but priorities change fast in the face of the inexorable. Minnesota daughter-in law's father died on Wednesday evening as she and Son were driving to the hospital to be by his bedside. It had been a six-year-long battle, and her father sought God's peace.
Rest in eternal love, Garrie Munk.

Holiday Snippets
I worship every inch of my six-foot-tall daughter-in-law who took a few steps up a kitchen ladder and replaced the can lights in the house that were out. She is not only agile, but kind.
*
The three offspring pitched in to get Husband's car and my car detailed as a Christmas present, and--wow--my thirteen-year-old baby car is now queen of the highway!
*
I pushed the emergency button on my key-ring car control to locate my Miata when I came out of the supermarket and was rewarded with a high-pitched beep, beep, beep. Suddenly, another car joined the chorus with a low-pitched honk, honk, honk, and I looked across to see another woman with her control out. For a second there, I thought we had something going.

Thankfulness
Daughter and Austin Son&Wife, complete with food and fireworks, came over to spend the evening of Fourth of July with us. It was a classic family scene--Norman Rockwell to the core. Fio went maudlin. This is the sort of family get-together she has always dreamed of, but has only recently begun to happen.
God is good.
God is good.

Love Lauren
Happy birthday to the newest member of Fiorella's family, Daughter-in-Law Lauren. We love her because she loves Austin Son and we love her for herself. What a great preamble to Valentine's Day!
