Decision Time

A herd of grazing deer was the first thing Sonya Dog saw when Fio and Husband took her outside for a walk the other day.  Husband instructed Doggie to "leave it"  and "sit" and Fiorella began stuffing treats down her throat.

Sonya knew what her choices were.  Instinct told her to break leash and take after the deer.  But the treats, both a distraction and an enticement, told her to sit still.

Sonya's almost an adult now.  She sat still.

Those shiny stains on Fio's jeans?  You may call them dried dog drool, but Fiorella calls them love juice.

Science Snippets

So now we're gonna play pool with the universe and smash a spaceship into an asteroid named Didymos to see what happens.  Has anyone thought about the ricochet?  Or that someone might strike back?

Fio loves the idea of the ancient continent being discovered between Mauritius and Madagascar.  If only it weren't millions of years ancient, we'd have Atlantis--and that's why Fiorella is a fiction writer rather than a scientist.

And on a more personal front, Sonya Dog can hear a Milkbone drop to the floor from two rooms away.

Random Snippets

Fio's an old-fashioned type of gal. She appreciates courtesy, like saying "please," "excuse me," "I'm sorry," "thank you," and "you're welcome." She also likes the way little girls are being dressed now, more like children and less like Beyonce.

Sonya Dog can sit, stay, and lie down on command, but Fiorella suspects these are more her natural inclination than learned behavior. And, by the way, Puppy has entered a new stage: if it's viewable, it's chewable.
